Start-ups

If you are new to owning and managing your own business then we will provide all the help, advice and hand-holding that you can possibly need.

Thinking through your business

Firstly we will listen to your hopes and dreams about what you want your new business to be.

We can reality check your ideas and, if necessary, prepare a business plan or cash flow forecast.

We will advise you on the best structure for the business: self-employed, partnership, limited company, charity etc. Getting the structure right will help you achieve your objectives and minimise the amount of tax you have to pay. For information on the differences between sole traders and limited companies click here.

Setting up and registration

We will register your business with HMRC (Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs). And if the business is a limited company we can form (or ‘incorporate’) the company at Companies House

First year guidance

For the inexperienced the first year of being a business owner-manager can be confusing. We will hand-hold you through your first year and answer any questions or sort any problems you may have.

And if you wish we can also help you develop a Strategy, Vision and Business Plan for your business.

Our fees

We will provide you will an all-inclusive annual quotation before we start any work. Generally speaking this includes all the tasks needed to comply with your accounts and tax responsibilities. Once the quotation has been accepted we then offer unlimited telephone support – with no ticking clock!

The work we do is set out in detail here – see sole-traders page or limited companies page. For how much we charge see prices page
